River Tove

On its day the River Tove can turn out the kind of fantastic catches dreams are made of...,2lb roach, 7lb bream, perch pushing 4, chub over 5 and pike pushing 20.  MKAA has access to four fields al Lincoln Lodge Farm (don't go if you don't like a brisk walk) and a long section off the Cosgrove/Castlethorpe Road.  These stretches must rank among the best this river has to offer.  Lincoln Lodge tends to consist of straights and pools and is probably fished roving style, spending a few minutes and then moving on.  Long Filed (almost half a mile of bank) seems to be one length of fish holding swims running into each other.   It also tends to be deeper in general and while also a stalkers paradise it can be more responsive to those who like to sit in the same location.
