Junior / Youth Match Fishing

We have entered junior and intermediate teams into several competitions this year.  Under the management of Ian Greenhood they have been very successful.

The picture above shows the team entered into last years British Waterways Southern Junior Championship where they not only won the team event but the also walked away with First, Second and Third  places in the individual match.

New members, no matter your ability are always welcome as well.  Members are split into two age groups, 12 years to 16 and 16 to 19 years.  All the matches are team events and anglers need to be able to fish reasonably well but help and coaching can be given in practices.  As these matches are some distance away it does mean there is some travelling to do and we do like parents to get involved and travel with the team.

As we are members of the National Junior Angling Association (NJAA) , National Federation of Anglers (NFA) and GUSAC.  

The two matches in June on Teardrops and Lodge  are open to any youngster who is interested in coming along and giving it a try, there will even be a trophy for the winner.  Our coaches will be on hand at these two matches to help you improve your techniques.
